Hi, I'm Desmond Tse, a Graphic Designer based in Toronto, Canada.

Started as a freelancer in 2018, my experience is in graphic layouts, brand design and digital marketing. I believe design should start from an empathetic approach to emphasize people's need and perspectives.

Leveraging my strong client communication skills combined with an empathetic approach, I create work that cohesively blends business goals and creative visual identity.

Know Your Audience

Whether it is designing for yourself or for others, knowing who will be appreciating the work is crucial to a comprehensive design.

Time is Money

An aphorism that feels disingenuous in creative work but nonetheless rings partially true. Knowing where to effectively allocate time is a vital skill that helps to stay organized and focused.

Focused Simplicity

Most often than not clients will have additional elements added or adjusted. A less is more design approach allows room for iteration when met with feedback.

Keep Iterating

Part of the process is to explore many different ideas to see what works. Different strokes for different folks.

Triple Check

1) When the work is complete.

2) For fact checking and spelling errors.

3) Before the work is sent to client.

Find Balance

Keep in mind the little details but remember to not tunnel vision. It is important to weigh which guidelines or details are more valuable.
